The daily calcium requirement of the body is usually not met by diet alone, so most individuals have a chance to develop deficiency, especially during increased loss. Xtracal has been developed to provide essential vitamin D for calcium absorption. Calcium citrate, unlike other calcium supplements does not produce gas or acidity and has been proved to be the best absorbed calcium. It lowers the rate of bone resorption during the last trimester of pregnancy and enhances fetal bone mineralization in women with low calcium intake.

Overview

Calcium citrate is 2.5 times more bioavailable than calcium carbonate. Vitamin D3 facilitates calcium absorption and stimulates bone formation. Magnesium increases bone mineral density and Zinc increases bone mass. Reduces the risk of osteoporotic fractures and incidence of non-vertebral and hip fractures. Increases bone density and bone length of neonates in pregnancy.
